The hospital also offers complete laboratory, pharmacy and nutrition services. A full-service emergency department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide rapid assessment and treatment of a wide variety of urgent and/or minor and major emergency illnesses and injuries.

Louisiana Medical Center and Heart Hospital, located in the greater New Orleans market, serves the North Shore region of Louisiana. The general acute care facility offers round-the-clock emergency medical treatment and a range of first-class features. The hospital more than tripled its patient capacity with a recent expansion that added 120-beds, a 109,000-square-foot four-story patient tower, new operating rooms, twice as many emergency room beds and a full-modality, high-technology diagnostic imaging suite in the emergency center that includes a new MRI machine. The first 79 beds within the expansion received licensure in spring 2009.

Opened in 2004, this 190,000-square-foot three-story facility offers 120 beds and now treats other health needs in addition to heart care.
